1. Scope and Responsibilities
This policy explains cookies and similar storage on CenterStage event pages and embedded video players. It complements the Event Participant Privacy Notice and the privacy information provided by the event organizer. The organizer generally determines the purposes of event registration, access, interactions, attendance and optional Google Analytics; 2 Stream BV operates the platform on its behalf. 2 Stream independently determines certain technical security and diagnostics processing. For details, see the participant notice.
Cookies and similar technologies include browser localStorage, not only HTTP cookies. Not every item below requires consent: strictly necessary functionality may be exempt, while optional analytics does require prior consent.
2. Cookie and Browser Storage Inventory
The following entries were observed in production or verified in the CenterStage code in October 2026. Other services added by an organizer may use their own technologies.
| Name / technology | Provider | Purpose | Storage and duration | Consent / status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
token_<eventId> | CenterStage | Event access, session identity and interactions. The associated session also supports individual arrival-time and viewing-duration measurement, including for anonymous participants. | HTTP cookie on api.centerstage.tv; maximum age 24 hours | Access/session functions are necessary for the requested event service; individual attendance measurement is a separate organizer-determined purpose |
centerstage.event-analytics-consent.v1.<companyId>.<measurementId> | CenterStage | Remembers an explicit Accept or Reject for the relevant organizer and GA4 identifier | localStorage on my.centerstage.tv; 180 days, or until the consent/configuration is changed | Stores the participant’s privacy choice; not an analytics tracker |
_ga, _ga_<ID> (if set) | Google Analytics | Optional measurements of event-page visits and interactions | Cookies; GA4 generally uses up to two years by default and can renew expiry. | Only after analytics consent |
theo_live_user_id | THEOplayer SDK (Dolby) | Technical identifier created automatically by the video player when a media source is assigned | localStorage on my.centerstage.tv; persists until cleared and is recreated when a source is loaded | No consent is currently requested; CenterStage does not read or use this identifier and has asked the SDK provider to clarify its necessity |
THEOplayer.textTrackStyle.fontColor, .fontFamily, .backgroundColor, .fontSize, .edgeStyle, .windowColor | THEOplayer SDK | Subtitle appearance settings; the SDK initializes empty values and later stores changes | localStorage; persists until cleared | Functional subtitle display settings; no user identifier |
3. Optional Google Analytics and Your Choice
Google Analytics is used only when configured by the organizer. Until Accept is selected in the event banner, the Google Analytics script is not loaded. Reject keeps it disabled. Closing the banner with X dismisses it without recording a choice or enabling analytics. Event access, registration, questions and video playback remain available if analytics is rejected.
Your choice is retained for 180 days and scoped to the organizer and GA4 measurement ID. Cookie settings on an event page with Analytics configured allows you to change or withdraw it. Withdrawal stops future collection through CenterStage, but cannot retroactively delete information already collected. CenterStage’s standalone embedded players do not load Google Analytics.
Google receives any analytics data sent by the browser as a provider for the organizer (or 2 Stream for its own events) and may process it outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. For information about safeguards, see our Privacy Policy and the organizer’s own privacy information.
4. Necessary Event Access and Playback
Session/access technologies support the event you requested, such as a protected event or an interactive session. Attendance or viewing duration can be recorded by CenterStage’s own application independently of Google Analytics; rejecting optional Analytics does not disable organizer-controlled attendance records. See the Event Participant Privacy Notice and the organizer’s privacy notice for those data-processing activities.
Streaming providers may receive network-level information such as IP address to deliver the video. This does not mean they necessarily place the cookies listed here. Depending on the organizer, video may be provided through Uplynk or another provider selected by the organizer.
5. How to Manage or Delete Stored Information
Use Cookie settings on the event page to change the optional Google Analytics choice. You can also delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Removing access cookies may sign you out of a protected event; deleting a player preference may reset its display settings. The current player may recreate theo_live_user_id when a media source is assigned.
6. Contact and Related Notices
For the event’s particular purposes and processing decisions, consult the organizer’s privacy notice. For CenterStage’s technical processing and your rights, read the Event Participant Privacy Notice and Privacy Policy.
